SOURCE Program Termination Letters not being received in a timely manner
Posted on Aug 28, 2011 by Carolyn Fagan, RN |
Many Clients and their families have complained that SOURCE sites have not notified them that they were being terminated in a timely manner. The termination guidelines state that a client has 15 days from the date of the termination letter to send in an appeal letter to the Legal Dept at Department of Community Health to keep services in place and or 30 days to appeal their case. If the client does not submit an appeal letter within the first 15 days of the Termination letter SOURCE services end 30 days from the date of the SOURCE Termination letter. Many clients never receive their termination letter in time so then they are left no option other than a general appeal. It is criminal that the SOURCE sites are not held accountable.

It sounds as if they don't care about it at all.
