Mental Health Clients being Termination from SOURCE Program

Clients throughout the state are being Terminated from the SOURCE Program because they do not meet level of care for the Program. The level of care for this program is Intermediate Nursing Home Level of Care. A large majority of these clients being terminated have a Mental Health Diagnosis. Some Examples of Mental Health Diagnosis: Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder. The SOURCE Program does not recognize Mental Health diagnosis as a Medical Condition therefore any complications(Memory deficits, Unsafe Behavior) from the Mental Health Diagnosis does not qualify the client to stay on the program. This is very disturbing because now these clients do not have any other resources to help manage their care. The only assistance they are being given are lists of Transitional Housing Units. Tranistional Housing is meant for clients that do not need assistance with Medication Administration. These clients need assistance with Medication Administration. So in other words the State is going to turn its head and pretend they do not know what is going on with our Mental health Clients & Transitional Housing. Family and the clients are distraught and no other assistance is available to them. At least when these clients were on the SOURCE Program, they were getting care coordination by a Nurse and medication management. Now these clients are being expected to live on their own with no one to make sure that their Mental Health Medication has refills. Now there is no one there to set-up their appointments with the Mental Health Community Service Boards to get their follow-up appointments.
What I do not understand is that if a Mental Health Diagnosis is the reason a client became eligible for Social Security Disability benefits to begin with, Why is their Mental Health Disability not recognized by the Georgia Medicaid Program? These clients are now at a huge risk with no one to help them.

They had no right to do it. It should be disputed.
It shouldn't be done so harsh. Those people deserve to be treated as everyone else.
These are basically those, who have lost some time in this establishment.

They have no right to terminate such programs that help people.
