Information about SOURCE and CCSP Programs
Posted on Sep 25, 2011 by Carolyn Fagan |
SOURCE and CCSP are the two primary Medicaid waiver programs that help low and middle income people pay for services in personal care homes.
If a person is Potentially Medicaid eligible and is not on Georgia Medicaid yet and goes to apply for the CCSP program, the CCSP coordinator will make application to Medicaid for them after the initial “face to face” evaluation.
If your receiving an SSI check and meet the requirements for SOURCE the following may apply to you. Often, if you or the person you are calling for is living with a relative they are getting a reduced SSI check for somewhere in the amount of $450 per month. They will need their check increased to $637 per month in order to pay the home $540 and still have $97 per month left over for personal needs. You do this by visiting your local Social Security Office and having your check upgraded to reflect that you are going to be living in a personal care home. Speak to a Social Security Specialist at the Social Security Office for details.

As for me I think it should be really good service for all ill people!
This program should be extended. A lot of people will suffer without it.
They head in the wrong direction. It won't bring them anywhere.
This would be very useful for those, who decide to undergo treatment.
This information would greatly help some people in need.
