Georgia Dept of Human Services(DHS)-Memorandum Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Payment Increase

Per DHS: Effective January 1, 2012, SSI and Social security recipients will receive a 3.6 percent cost-of-living Increase in their monthly payments. New SSI payment will be $698.00 for single individual and $1048.00 for couples.

Per DHS: Effective January 1, 2012, clients’ payments to the home providers and personal needs allowances increase, also.

January 1, 2012

  • Single Individuals: Room & Board-$588 per month, Personal Needs Allowance-$110.00 per month
  • Couples(both on Medicaid): Room & Board- $838.00 per month, Personal Needs Allowance- $210.00 per month
